Family Psychology
One of the most powerful skills I have learned so far in DBT is the power of 'and.' I can feel two opposing things at once, for instance. I can be sad and safe at the same time. I can feel lonely and not be alone simultaneously. Life is complex. A "both/and" way to describe my experiences tend to be much more accurate and helpful than "either/or".
DBT taught me to live effectively with my social anxiety. In six months my relationships with family and friends improved. I got through my inertia to pursuing a better job and actually got a better one than I have ever had before. I am finally paying off my debts and will soon be able to move out of my parents' house.
Prior to learning DBT skills, I would lash out at my family and soon saw that my sister was following my behavior. Now that I know ways to calm down, my family interactions are so much healthier and my sister has begun to respond in calmer ways as well.
The counsel I received was not only practical, but biblical. That has been crucial to the continued success in my battle with depression. I now know that I'm not any less of a Christian because of my struggle, and that I can boast all the more in who Christ is and His greatness in my life because of my weaknesses.
I now know how to live now without being constantly anxious.
At Restoration I am listened to and heard. I know I am accepted and do not have to fear being judged.
After going through the DBT skills group I learned how to live life without the constant chaos. And instead a life worth living.

Our clinicians have a wide variety of education and specialization. The specifics for each clinician can be found on the Our Team tab of the website. Just click on the clinician’s photo to view a brief bio.
Once you have scheduled your first appointment, you are ready to fill out your specific clinician’s intake form. The intake form must be completed prior to your first session.
Call our DBT Intake Specialist at 817.291.9872 (ext. 2) to schedule your DBT Intake appointment.
The cost of an individual appointment at Restoration ranges from $90-$195.
All major credit cards, cash, and checks made out to Restoration, as well as HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards are accepted.
You will be asked to enter payment information on your clinician’s intake form. If you wish to use the entered credit card information for payment, you are done! The charge will be assessed to your credit card the day after your appointment. If you would like to pay by cash or check, simply hand payment to your clinician at your session.
You have some options! You can (1) login to your account at www.restorationcec.com and edit your payment information within your user profile in our secure system or (2) call our billing department at 817.291.9872 (ext.3) and give us your new information over the phone.
We do not work with third parties for billing. However, we can issue an insurance receipt with proper coding which you can file with your provider. This can be requested from your clinician.
We do not send appointment reminders, however patients can view their current appointments by logging in to their User Account at Restorationcec.com.
In inclement weather, Restoration will remain open operating virtually. Your appointment will be available through virtual Telehealth means. In this event, please reach out to set up the preferred virtual platform prior to your appointment. If you are cancelling due to inclement weather, please give 24 hour notice to avoid being charged a cancellation fee.
